QuitPekoPrivacy Policy
The short version: QuitPeko has no accounts. What you track stays on your iPhone. There are no ads and no tracking, and we never sell data. A few features send the minimum they need; each is described below.
Who we are
QuitPeko is published by Vunpeko (“we”, “us”). Privacy questions: support@vunpeko.com.
Data that stays on your iPhone
Your habits, start dates, check-ins, urges, slips, notes, reminders and blocker settings are stored only on your device, protected by iOS Data Protection and, if you turn it on, Face ID. We can't see them. Exports you create are files you control.
Data that leaves your iPhone
App diagnostics and usage
We run our own diagnostics service (GoodLogs, hosted on Cloudflare). Depending on your country's defaults and your choice in Settings → Privacy, the app sends crash, hang and performance reports, which screens were opened, and coarse events such as “check-in saved, mood 4 of 5”. These never include what you're quitting, habit names, notes, triggers or reasons. They're tied to a random install ID, not to you, and you can turn them off at any time.
Feedback and support
Only when you send them: your message, your email address (required for support so we can reply), an optional screenshot you choose, your app version, device model, iOS version, language and the screens you visited just before. We use them only to help you and improve QuitPeko, and delete them on request.
Circles
If you create or join a circle, we store a randomly generated alias, the day count of one habit you choose (never its name), your status (steady, struggling or setback) and the fixed cheers members send. There is no free text. Cheers are kept for 7 days, your data is erased when you leave, and a circle is erased when it's empty or after 90 days without activity.
Device integrity
To keep Circles free of scripts and abuse, the app asks Apple to confirm it's the genuine app on a real iPhone (App Attest, or DeviceCheck on older devices). We store an anonymous key identifier and public key from Apple; DeviceCheck tokens are checked with Apple and not kept.
Purchases
Apple processes all payments; we never see your name, Apple ID, email or payment details. RevenueCat, Inc. validates purchases using a random anonymous ID created by the app and your purchase history, as described in RevenueCat's privacy policy. Our server keeps only whether Plus is active, the product, expiry and store, keyed by a one-way hash of that ID, plus anonymous daily totals with no identifiers.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts our servers and processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect them. RevenueCat (purchases) and Apple (App Attest, DeviceCheck, App Store) process data only as described above.
What we never do
- No advertising, and no ad, attribution or third-party analytics SDKs.
- No tracking across apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing of your data for marketing.
- No sign-up, email or phone number to use the app.
Retention and deletion
Use Settings → Your data → Delete everything. It erases on-device data, removes you from circles and deletes our purchase record. Apple and RevenueCat keep the anonymous purchase history that proves your purchase, so you can restore it. Diagnostics are kept for a limited time and aren't linked to you. To erase feedback or support messages, email support@vunpeko.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or US state privacy laws) you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of personal data. Most of these are available in the app; for anything else, email support@vunpeko.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
QuitPeko is for adults (17+) and isn't directed to children.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above and explain material changes in the app before they apply.
